The flood water came from Pequea Creek quickly trapping one vehicle This on Route 324 just north of Silver Mine Road in Pequea Township, Rawlinsville Volunteer Fire Company officials detailed.
"Quick thinking neighbors helped the driver out of the vehicle and to safety," Rawlinsville Volunteer Fire Company officials said.
At one point the vehicle was floating in the water, according to the fire company.
A boat was required in the rescue.
The West Willow, New Danville, and Conestoga Fire Companies also responded to the scene.
“Turn around, don’t drown!” fire officials reminded the public.
